Based on the award-winning book by Louis Sachar, "Holes" tells the story of Stanley Yelnats (Michael Cunningham), who continues his family's curse of bad luck and finds himself at Camp Green Lake, convicted of a crime he didn't commit. But this isn't any ordinary camp; the boys are forced to dig, day in and day out, in search of historic treasure. Stanley and fellow "campers," X-Ray (Elvin Soe), Magnet (Calvin Wilner), Armpit (AJ Mortale), and Zigzag (Harold Norris), find themselves digging up the story of Kissin' Kate Barlow (Katy Merriman), one of the most feared outlaws in the west. Hole by hole, Stanley begins to also dig into his past and with the help of his friend Zero (Jarhon Hill), reshapes his destiny. "Holes" won the 1998 U.S. National Book Award for Young People's Literature and the 1999 Newbery Medal for the year's "most distinguished contribution to American literature for children."7:00 PM Friday
