Scott Dreier's award-winning solo show Doris and Me will play five performances only at Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in Rochester, New York from Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, July 23.

Doris and Me is a joyful celebration of the music, life and career of Doris Day - and one man's quirky obsession with America's sweetheart. In his Eddon Award-winning (Best Solo Show) and BroadwayWorld.com Critic's Pick performance, Scott Dreier takes audiences through a nostalgic sentimental journey of Doris Day's music. The show is a lyrical documentary of Day's life, filled with rare stories from the iconic superstar's film and recording careers. Dreier serenades the audience with Day's beloved hits including "Secret Love," "It's Magic," "Que Sera Sera," "Everybody Loves a Lover," and "Sentimental Journey." One of Doris Day's most ardent admirers, his heartfelt touch permeates the entire show. He shares his personal insights on his musical heroine and tells behind-the-scenes stories about her unique influence on the Golden Age of Hollywood and the effect her songs had on him the first time he heard them. Directed by LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award-winner Richard Israel, Doris and Me has thrilled audiences all over the United States. In 2016, Dreier was invited to perform the show in Carmel, CA (where Doris resides today) for her 94th birthday celebration.

Scott Dreier has made his living as a professional performer for 20 years in theatre, TV, commercials, voiceover, film, recording, and cabaret. He has directed several productions of Forever Plaid, most recently in February 2017. As a performer, Dreier is best known for playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors (12 productions). Tours and regional productions include Smudge in the San Diego company of Forever Plaid, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Side by Side by Sondheim (Desert Theatre League Award), the Baker in Into the Woods, Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, JP Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Old Globe Theatre), and First Date (LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award nomination for Best Ensemble of a Musical). Dreier's self-titled debut CD of Big Band, Broadway, and Pop songs featured a duet with TV's Katey Sagal (Married with Children, Sons of Anarchy). He has been the guest vocalist for the Pasadena Pops and he sang back-up for Barbra Streisand at two of her LA concerts. Dreier was the official voice of Knuckles the Echidna in the Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Game Series. Television credits include The First Family, The Suite Life on Deck, I Carly, Malcolm in the Middle, General Hospital, and the film Enchanted: Go West. He has also appeared in numerous national television commercials. Dreier's second album, "The Doris Day Project" (featuring the music from his acclaimed solo show Doris and Me), also includes a duet with Grammy Award-nominated jazz singer Jane Monheit.
