Comedian Jaime Monroy Rolls Out The Red Carpet At Roger Neal's Oscar Viewing Event

On the film industry's biggest night, February 24, Jaime Monroy will reunite with his longtime industry colleagues, publicist and producer Roger Neal and publicist Ed Lozziat, at the fourth annual Roger Neal Oscar Viewing Dinner and Icon Awards.

The star-studded celebrity dinner will be live streamed on new digital media outlets from the historic Hollywood Palladium with Monroy on the red carpet announcing and interviewing celebrity arrivals.

Neal comments, "Jaime is my Army Archerd. He brings classic Hollywood together with today's Hollywood and continues the Oscar red carpet legacy."

Monroy is an established stand-up comedian and top TV warm up host. His teen idol looks and lightening adlibs created a frenzy with audiences, packing out performances with Bob Saget, Johnny Dark, Jim Carrey, Judd Apatow, Jay Leno, Sinbad, Brad Garrett and Rosie O'Donnell. He opened for such legendary comedians as Milton Berle, Phyliss Diller, Jackie Mason and Joan Rivers and also worked with Bob Hope on USO tours. Monroy is the only comedian in history to be the opening act for the late Michael Jackson.

Monroy's television career began on the legendary top 40 music TV show "Solid Gold," becoming the youngest warm up comedian in television history. "The Warm Up Kid," as he was known, revved up studio audiences for more than 25 of America's favorite sitcoms from "Facts of Life" to "Cheers," including Lucille Ball's last TV show "Life with Lucy."
