Chromolume Theatre to Stage ZANNA, DON'T! This Winter

Chromolume Theatre at the Attic has announced the first production in its 2017 Season of Musicals, the off-Broadway hit Zanna, Don't! Opening on Friday, January 13 at 8pm, the show will play a strictly limited engagement through February 5. Zanna, Don't! has book, music, and lyrics by Tim Acito with additional lyrics by Alexander Dinelaris. The Chromolume production will feature musical direction by Daniel Yokomizo, choreography by Michael Marchak, and is directed by Lauren J. Peters.

Zanna, Don't! is a musical comedy set in mid-west America and tells the tale of a parallel universe where homosexuality is the norm and heterosexuality is taboo. The show takes place at heterophobic Heartsville High. 'Magical Matchmaker' Zanna brings together happy couples until the football team's star quarterback and the captain of the Girls' Intramural Mechanical Bull-Riding Team begin to discover their feelings for each other.

The cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Michael Angel, Jason Bornstein, Jillian Easton, Lilly Elliot, Everjohn Feliciano, Vanessa Magula, Ken Maurice Purcell, and Jacob Zelonky. Scenic design is by Lauren J. Peters, lighting design is by Richard Fong, costume design is by Ovation Award-winner Michael Mullen, and sound design is by James Esposito. Daniel Yokomizo is musical director and choreography is by Michael Marchak. The stage manager is Veronica Vasquez.

Zanna, Don't! opens on Friday, January 13 at 8pm. The regular performance schedule is Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm through February 5.
