Bring It On: The Musical Held Day at Universal CityWalk 10/22

Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of "Bring It On: The Musical," plus cheer squads from Narbonne High School (Harbor City), Mira Mesa High School (San Diego), Hart High School (Santa Clarita) and Santa Monica High School (Santa Monica); dance squads from St. Genevieve High School (Panorama City) and Los Alamitos High School (Los Alamitos); Glendale Community College's cheer squad, UCA cheer and dance instructors and a pep band. Guest hosts include KIIS FM's JoJo, Telemundo's Jorge Bernal and Hannah of "The Glee Project."

What: A celebration kicking off the national tour of "Bring It On: The Musical" featuring performances by the cast, routines by local cheer and dance squads, dance/cheer lessons, audience competitions, a live DJ, local TV and radio personalities, ticket giveaways and a traveling pep rally down CityWalk.

"Bring It On: The Musical" Day promotional partners include NBC Los Angeles, Oxygen, Telemundo and KIIS FM. Cheer and dance coordination provided by Varsity.

Where: Universal CityWalk / Universal City, CA
All but the first event will occur at 5 Towers at CityWalk.

When: Saturday, October 22 from 11:45 AM to 4 PM

Highlights:
11:45 AM - Traveling pep rally from Universal Globe Fountain to 5 Towers at CityWalk
Noon - High school cheer squad routine (there will be two to three cheer and dance routines performed each hour by local high school squads throughout the event.)
12:45 PM - Lin-Manuel Miranda addresses the crowd and introduces the cast
1:00 PM - Performance by the cast of "Bring It On: The Musical"
3:00 PM - Performance by the cast of "Bring It On: The Musical"

Info: "Bring It On: The Musical" is the explosive new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries. Set against the world of competitive cheerleading, this powerhouse new show hilariously proves that winning isn't everything when it means losing something - or someone - you really care about.
