Brimmer Street Theatre Company has announced it will present its seventh world premiere, Pack Up The Moon by Christina Cigala (developed with members of BSTC), directed by Amy K. Harmon, at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood. Preview performances begin on Saturday, July 6. Opening is set for Saturday, July 13 at 8pm. Pack Up The Moon will play a limited engagement through August 10.

In Pack Up The Moon, a gay couple gets a second chance at fatherhood when a relative shows up at the door. A play about grief, love, sex, and moving on, Pack Up The Moon reminds us that families come in all kinds these days. All kinds.

The cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Ben Fuller, Brad Harris, David Jette, and Emilia Richeson. The scenic design is by Alex Pletcher, lighting design is by Haylee Freeman, costume design is by Amy Sobotta, and sound design is by Cricket Myers. The stage manager is Kathryn Eipl, and the show is produced for Brimmer Street Theatre Company by Jenny Byrd and Jefferson Byrd.

Playwright Christina Cigala is an LA-based writer, producer, and BSTC company member. Pack Up the Moon is her second play to be produced by Brimmer Street, following 2010's Flower to Flower. Other theatre credits include: Oink! (Off-Broadway), Hard Candy Christmas (Dallas/NYC), Topping from Below: A Musical (Actors Studio), and Once More, With Feeling, which was produced in New York, Dallas, Houston, and in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Cigala just finished her first book proposal for Dupree Miller and Associates. She produces reality and semi-scripted TV for Syfy, TruTV, HGTV, BIO, and the Speed Network.

Director Amy K. Harmon is a founding member of Brimmer Street Theatre Company. Past directing credits include A Poster of The Cosmos by Lanford Wilson (Equity Fights Aids, Boston), and Scenes from Our Marriage by Michael Rex (The Ivy Substation). Past BSTC acting credits include All Your Hard Work, Summer in Hell, <3, Leiris/Picasso, and Flower to Flower. Film and television credits include Scandal (ABC), Suit Up (FOX), Castle (ABC), Private Practice (ABC), The West Wing (NBC), and American Splendor (HBO). Additionally, Harmon has been a guest professor of movement theory and scene study at Culver City's Advanced Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. Pack Up The Moon marks Harmon's debut as a director with Brimmer Street Theatre Company.

There will be two 'Pay What You Can' preview performances of Pack Up The Moon on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 at 8pm, with an additional preview on Friday, July 12 at 8pm for which tickets are $15. Opening is set for Saturday, July 13 at 8pm. The regular performance schedule will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8pm through August 10 only. All seats for regular performances are $20.
