Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' APPROPRIATE to Make West Coast Premiere at the Taper This Fall

"Appropriate" by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Eric Ting, will make its West Coast premiere at Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum, beginning previews September 23 for an October 4 opening. The production will play through November 1, 2015.

As estranged family members convene in Arkansas to settle the patriarch's estate, they discover in the ruin and clutter of their crumbling plantation home an album filled with disturbing photos. Sparks fly when the siblings debate possible family ties to this unwanted legacy, and their tenuous reunion brings up old rivalries and family secrets that soon toss them all into a tailspin.

Previews (September 23 - October 3): Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. No performance on Mondays or Tuesdays. Exceptions: Added 2:30 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday, October 3. Opens Sunday, October 4 at 7 p.m. Regular Performances (October 6 - November 1, 2015): Tuesday through Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. No performance on Mondays.
