Brad Garrett to Lead Sitcom Intensive Class At The Acting Studio 7/26-8/30

Actor/comedian Brad Garrett will teach a six-week Sitcom Intensive at The Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts on six consecutive Tuesday evenings starting July 26, 2011 through August 30. Students will be led through all aspects of comedy and learn what it takes to develop great comedic instincts while exploring topics such as cold reading, auditioning technique, character development, script breakdown and analysis.

The final week of the sitcom intensive will culminate in a showcase for industry professionals. There will be 22 working spots in the class with auditing opportunities also available.

Garrett became a stand-up comedian after winning "Star Search." He starred as Robert Barone on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and as Eddie Stark on "'Til Death." He won three Emmy ® Awards and a SAG Award for his role on "Everybody Loves Raymond." Garrett is also one of busiest voice-over talents in Hollywood and starred in the Broadway revival of "The Odd Couple."
