Angel City Chorale To Sing In South Africa; Spring Concert Held 6/5-6 In LA

Angel City Chorale has been invited by Archbishop Desmond Tutu to participate in a special fundraising event in South Africa in late 2011. They have been invited to sing at a Mass that he will officiate in Cape Town and Archbishop Tutu will attend a concert given by Angel City Chorale in either Cape Town or Johannesburg who will be performing gratis with all proceeds from the event will be directed to the Archbishop's choice of charities.

Angel City Chorale (ACC) is delighted to announce its 17th annual Spring concert, "Earth: Live! -- Songs For The Blue Planet," on June 5th & June 6th at 7:30pm at Wilshire United Methodist Church in Hancock Park. Deemed "one of the most engaging and entertaining evenings of music you can hear in Los Angeles " by acclaimed musician T-Bone Burnett, ACC promises to deliver one of its most dynamic Spring concerts ever! This year's concert features a mix of American classics including folk, gospel and contemporary - with choral versions of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror," Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi" and Toto's "Africa." In addition to these more contemporary pieces, ACC will also perform its usual demanding classical pieces to showcase the incredible talent and range of Los Angeles ' premier community choir.

Advance tickets are $25 for Adults, $22 for Seniors (age 60 and over), and $17 for Children (ages 5-12). Tickets at the door are $30 for Adults, $27 for Seniors, and $20 for Children. Seating is limited. Wilshire United Methodist Church is located at 4350 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles , CA 90010 (Between Highland and Wilton ).
