Allee Willis Brings BA-DE-YA, BABY! to NoHoPAC, 11/8 & 9

By:

Breaking boundaries with a new generation of live entertainment is GRAMMY, Emmy, Tony and Webby award-winning and nominated Allee Willis, who is bringing her hit show – BA-DE-YA, BABY! – back to the stage for an exclusive two-day engagement. Combining her prodigious body of work as a songwriter, live performer, visual artist, multimediaist and iconic party thrower, Allee has created an evening of ultimate entertainment that celebrates her life in music and art with greatest hits sing-alongs, stories, a live band, dancers, special guests and much more – all delivered with her signature party vibe.

The shows are slated for Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9, 2012 at 8:00 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM) at NoHoPAC (North Hollywood Performing Arts Center), located at 11020 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood, Calif. Tickets are available for purchase HERE. Ticket cost is $45.99.

Allee has had a colorful and groundbreaking career in the entertainment industry, all of which she incorporates into the two-hour show. Audiences are entertained as Allee chronicles her journey, beginning with her stories of growing up in Detroit in the 1960's listening to R&B music "at the end of the dial," to becoming a successful songwriter – from co-authoring the Oprah Winfrey-produced Broadway musical "The Color Purple" to the theme song of the ever popular TV show Friends. Willis speaks of her journey through the music industry and classic moments of her writing sessions with music icons including Earth, Wind & Fire, The Pointer Sisters and the Pet Shop Boys. Audiences will feel as though they are in Boogie Wonderland as Allee and her band perform hits like the Earth, Wind & Fire smash "September" and many more.

Watch a video of her previous show, "Allee Willis' Super Ball Bounce Back Review," for a glimpse of the extravaganza not to be missed.
