AEG's Season of Giving Honors Inner-City Arts, 12/19
On Wednesday, December 19th, during its annual Season of Giving charitable campaign, AEG is dedicating its holiday efforts to Inner-City Arts. Widely regarded as one of the nation's most effective arts education providers, Inner-City Arts is an oasis of learning, achievement and creativity in the heart of Skid Row, and a vital partner in the work of creating a safer, healthier Los Angeles.
Throughout the month of December, Season of Giving, an AEG initiative, highlights a different non-profit organization at the Los Angeles Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE.
The event will begin at 6:15 p.m. at the Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE, 800 W. Olympic Blvd. Los Angeles, Calif.
Inner-City Arts, widely regarded as one of the nation's most effective arts education providers, is an oasis of learning, achievement and creativity in the heart of Skid Row, and a vital partner in the work of creating a safer, healthier Los Angeles. Inner-City Arts' mission is to use arts education to positively affect the lives of inner-city children, improving their chances to lead productive and successful lives by developing creativity, improving learning skills and building self-confidence. Creating a bridge between the studio and the classroom, Inner-City Arts' unique approach to arts education measurably improves academic and personal outcomes for children and youth, including those students with LimitEd English Proficiency who are at risk of academic failure. AEG's Season of Giving is an initiative designed to raise funds and generate awareness in support of non-profit organizations working on issues of hunger, homelessness and healthcare. During the month of December, a different non-profit organization will be highlighted during a brief program at the Los Angeles Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE.
