A Night Of Song And Story! SEE JANE SING At The McCallum Theatre
Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jane Lynch comes to the McCallum Theatre on Saturday, October 29, at 8:00pm for her Palm Desert solo concert debut in "See Jane Sing." Fresh from her iconic portrayal of Sue Sylvester on "Glee" and her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan in Annie, Jane will bring her comic skills and musical prowess to the theatre stage. Audiences should prepare for a side-splitting evening of musical comedy, with more than a dash of wit as Jane explores her love of the beauty and absurdity of the American standard and show tune.
Jane gained millions of fans as the one-liner powerhouse coach Sue Sylvester in the Golden Globe and SAG Award winning Ryan Murphy television series "Glee." Her magnificent comedic timing earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy Actress, and a SAG award nomination. With her wit and luminous stage presence, Jane served as the host for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Jane is the host of NBC's "Hollywood Game Night" for which she received two Emmy Awards. Other television credits include the STARZ series "Party Down," the Lifetime original series "Lovespring," "Desperate Housewives," and "Weeds," as well as the last season of "The L Word" opposite Cybill Shepherd. She also had recurring roles on "Two and a Half Men," "Criminal Minds," and "The New Adventures of Old Christine."
Jane's film credits displayed her acting talents, including roles in the movies A.C.O.D; The Three Stooges; Julie & Julia; The Post Grad Survival Guide; Brownie Masters; Christopher Guest's For Your Consideration, A Mighty Wind and Best in Show; as well as Role Models; The Rocker; Spring Breakdown; Walk Hard; Talladega Nights; The 40 Year Old Virgin; Margaret Cho's Celeste and Bam Bam; Alan Cumming's Suffering Man's Charity; Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events; Sleepover; Surviving Eden;and many more. Her memoir, Happy Accidents, was released in September 2011, made numerous best-seller lists, and included a foreword written by the legendary Carol Burnett.
Jane's play Oh Sister, My Sister! had runs at the Tamarind Theatre and Bang Theater garnering the LA Weekly Comedy Ensemble of the Year Award. Jane Starred in the Broadway production of Annieas Miss Hannigan in the 2013 limited Broadway run at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater in New York. Soon thereafter, she decided to embark on her own musical comedy tour, "See Jane Sing," in which she mixes her signature quick wit with beloved Broadway songs.
