A LITTLE NEW MUSIC Returns To the Catalina in Hollywood With Hosts J. Elaine Marcos and Michelle Ortiz ImageOn Tuesday, March 6 at 8:30pm, A Little New Music (ALNM) presents its sixteenth concert of the latest "new or unheard" musical theatre songs at the historic Catalina Jazz Club. Be among the first to discover the best new writing for Broadway, brought to life by LA's premier performing artists and the ALNM band. The event is co-hosted by Broadway's J. Elaine Marcos (ANNIE, PRISCILLA) and MadTV's Michelle Ortiz under the guest music direction of singer, songwriter, and arranger Jan Roper (Hollywood Bowl, Musical Theatre Guild).

The concert will feature songs from composers and lyricists including Fleitman & Bassett (THE AVERAGE SIZED MERMAID), Drew Fornarola (CLAUDIO QUEST, STRAIGHT), Brett Ryback (PASSING THROUGH), Spencer Robelen, Matthew McCollum (THE BALLAD OF BRIGHTWATER), Waldkirch and Lowder (SAVE ME A SPOT), and Roper & Weiner (CITY OF LIGHT).

Scheduled to perform: Tony nominee Valarie Pettiford (FOSSE), Tom Detrinis (30-Minute Musicals co-creator, upcoming DIE MOMMIE DIE at CTG), Jessica Reiner-Harris (UCB's "Quick & Funny Musicals"), Anthea Neri (East West's NEXT TO NORMAL), Clayton Farris ("Gray's Anatomy", "Scream Queens"), Kate Ponzio (THE MARVELOUS WONDRETTES at Sierra Madre Playhouse), and Everjohn Feliciano (After Hours Theatre Company's DOGFIGHT) - plus a special guest performance from singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Chris Pierce and his band, sharing a new song from his and co-writer Mark Malone's developing show, REVEREND TALL TREE'S BLUES OPERA. ABOUT THE CONCERT SERIES

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC is the best hour of new and unheard musical theater material in LA. Whether a premiere from an established writer or an undiscovered tune from a promising up-and-comer, our mission is to showcase these talents with a program that keeps your finger on the pulse of the musical theater scene.

Tickets are $18 (main), $15 (bar/high top) in advance, $25 at the door. Dinner or two drink minimum purchase is required in addition to ticket price. There is a $0.45 music royalty fee per patron.
