3 Redneck Tenors Musical Come To The Canyon Club 3/19

By:

The much anticipated, critically acclaimed 3 Redneck Tenors: A New Musical Adventure arrives at the Canyon Club Thursday, March 19, 2009 as part of a current, highly successful, multi-city, U.S. tour.

Catapulting into national fame during their competitive participation in the second season of the hit NBC reality series, America's Got Talent, the cast includes veteran Broadway and Opera stars Matthew Lord, John Wilkerson and Alex Bumpas, with Special Guest Dinny McGuire (AKA Billy Joe, Billy Billie, Billy Bob and The Colonel) in a foot stompin', knee slappin' uproariously funny musical redneck romp, with the tunes of Elvis to Puccini; Country to Opera (C'opera if you will); from Paris (Texas that is) all the way to their triumphant debut at New York City's famous Carn-iggy Hall. Popular comedy team Mack & Jamie (Mack Dryden and Jamie Alcroft), known to television audiences from the Tonight Show and their own hit syndicated series Comedy Break, will open the evening.
The Redneck Tenors' Canyon Club engagement (the second of only four California tour stops) is distinguished by the fact that The Tenors, along with Mack & Jamie, have made a heartfelt commitment to raise awareness about evictions and closure of the Long Term and Acute Care units of the Motion Picture Country Home and Hospital which, in turn, suggests highly negative physical and emotional impact on its current residents. Since January 14, 2009 when the Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF) in Calabasas, CA announced the closing, the MPTF's 88 year-old mission of "Taking Care of Our Own" seemed destined to dissipate into hopelessness. As a result, families of Motion Picture Home residents and others in the industry stood up to the MPTF's historic promise and formed the coalition "Saving The Lives of Our Own" to not only keep their loved ones in place, but to ensure that Long Term Care remains open for future generations of those who work in the motion picture and television industry.

Tickets for The Redneck Tenors and Mack & Jamie may be purchased at $20 and $38 by calling The Canyon Club Box Office at (818) 879-5016; by calling Ticketmaster® or visiting Ticketmaster.com®; or by visiting www.canyonclub.net. Doors open at 6:00 pm for dinner service and an 8:00 pm performance. The Canyon Club is located at 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. Complimentary parking is available.
