L.A. Theatre Works Announces Charity Auctions

By:

L.A. Theatre Works brings the most distinguished names of stage and screen to an exciting online auction at Charitybuzz, offering celebrity experiences, TV set tours and compelling, one-of-a-kind opportunities. Comedy sitcoms and crime dramas, talk radio and The Tonight Show-there's something special for everyone. Place your bid starting January 24 for a chance to have lunch with Ed Asner or dinner with four-time Academy Award-nominated actress Marsha Mason.

Take a personal tour of Ed Begley's solar-powered Studio City home and then stay for lunch, or enjoy dinner with John de Lancie of Star Trek. Take advantage of a script consultation with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation writer/producer David Rambo, or watch a rehearsal of Charles Busch's new play and attend a performance in NYC. Get up close and personal with set tours of your favorite shows, including White Collar with Tim DeKay, The Americans or How I Met Your Mother. Visit the set of Criminal Minds and meet Joe Mantegna, or meet writer/producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa on the set of Glee. Be the lucky one who attends a read-through of The Simpsons-and have Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer, record a message on your answering machine. To view these and other exciting items, go to www.charitybuzz.com/latw.

For three decades, L.A. Theatre Works has been the leading radio theater company in the United States, committed to using innovative technologies to preserve and promote significant works of dramatic literature and bringing live theater into the homes of millions. The company's public radio series, featuring stage plays performed by America's top actors augmented by interviews with the artists and others, can be heard in over 100 markets nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org. L.A. Theatre Works recordings are available worldwide through Amazon and iTunes and at over 11,000 libraries across the U.S.

The auction commences on January 24 at www.charitybuzz.com/latw, where you can view items and register for free with no commitment to bid; use code LATW, and Charitybuzz will donate $3 to L.A. Theatre Works at no cost to you.
