The Long Island Music Hall Of Fame Announces Third Induction Gala 11/16

The Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) is proud to announce its Third Induction Award Ceremony and Fundraising Gala, which will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at the famed Oheka Castle, 135 West Gate Drive in Huntington, NY. Inductees include stars of stage, classical, Latin, hip-hop, gospel, folk, jazz, rock ‘n roll, and oldies worlds will be joined by past inductees and celebrity presenters at the ceremony.
Folk artist, composer and lyricist Oscar Brand's credits include music in 75 films, musical director for many NBC TV programs, host of Canadian TV's "Let's Sing Out", numerous famous advertising jingles, lyrics and music for productions for stage including A Joyful Noise and The Education of H*Y*M*A*N K*A*P*L*A*N (which starred Tom Bosley), and How To Steal an Election (which starred fellow inductee Carole Demas).Carole and Paula together are loved and remembered as the stars of The Magic Garden, now a part of the Permanent Collection at The Paley Center in NYC (formerly the Museum of Television and Radio). Their program, the most popular regional show in children's television history, ran for 12 1/2 years on WPIX-TV, NY and affiliated stations. They created 3 highly successful records for children (one a Grammy Nominee) and their sold-out live performances in over a hundred venues include fund raisers for numerous charities. Carole is best known for her unforgettable, critically acclaimed creation of the female lead, Sandy, in the original Broadway blockbuster musical, Grease. Paula performed everywhere from Greenwich Village's Café Wha?, to political campaign events at Madison Square Garden as a solo artist and as part of the folk trio The Wee'Uns.Date and Time: Tuesday, November 16, 2010 (6:30PM Red Carpet, 7PM Doors)
