By:

Prime Number Productions is pleased to announce THE SUICIDE OF Mark Twain, a new tragicomedy written by Sean David DeMers, is being presented as part of Variations Theater Group's Harvest Theater Festival. The festival takes place at the new Chain Theater at 21-28 45th Rd. Long Island City, tickets are priced at $15.

Set in 1866 San Francisco,THE SUICIDE OF Mark Twain finds 31-year-old Samuel Clemens celebrating a successful assignment in the Hawaiian Islands. While carousing with pals and recounting numerous adventures (in his uniquely comic voice), we discover that uncertainty plagues the mind of the talented humorist. How does a writer who has had a taste of fame deal with the fear of failure? Sam faces an important decision: Is he Samuel Clemens, freewheeling journalist and traveler, or Mark Twain, gifted commentator on American life? How he decides his fate will affect not only the course of his life, but also the course of American literature.
