Bay Street Theatre is getting ready to start celebrating its 20th Season beginning with a Spring Benefit on Sunday, April 3. The first Mainstage production of 2011 will be TRU, with SNL'S Darrell Hammond starring as Truman Capote; directed by Judith Ivey. The show runs May 31 - June 26. The April 3 event is themed as a celebration of East End's own Truman Capote. The event begins at 11:30 am with BRUNCH WITH Darrell Hammond at THE AMERCIAN HOTEL.

Following the brunch, guests will stroll down to Bay Street Theatre for a champagne toast, live piano music, and a chance to win a Tiffany & Co. sterling silver beaded necklace. Following the fun in the lobby will be the screening of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S beginning at 1:30 pm. There will be a prize given to the person with the best Audrey Hepburn costume! All for just $125. $50 tickets are available without brunch with a different start time of 12:30 pm at the Bay Street Theatre lobby.

The brunch was generously underwritten by an anonymous donor so all proceeds for this event benefit Bay Street Theatre. For tickets, call the Bay Street Administration Office at 631-725-0818 or Marylou@baystreet.org.

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S (1961) was based on the book written by Truman Capote. It was directed by the late Blake Edwards. The screenplay was written by George Axelrod. The stars include Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal and Buddy Ebsen. The story is about a young New York socialite who becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building.
