VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM Plays The Onyx After Hours, Now thru 6/27

The Onyx After Hours presents Charles Busch's cult comedy Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. The limited run begins tonight, June 12, at The Onyx in Commercial Center and plays through June 27. The show is directed by Stephen R. Sisson and features local favorites Kellie Wright and Glenn Heath as the dueling divas...with bite!

One of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom tells the saga of two fatally seductive vampiresses whose paths first collide in ancient Sodom. Their bitter rivalry as bloodsuckers but more importantly, as actresses, endures for two thousand years with stops along the way in 1920's silent movie Hollywood and 1980's Las Vegas.

"All our patrons who've frequented the Onyx over the past decade have encountered the notorious fetish shop - The Rack - which shared space out front," says Producing Director Troy Heard. "I'm excited to say that The Rack is finally gone, and we have a beautifully intimate cabaret space there that complements our main stage. So naturally the inaugural show we've chosen to replace the sex toys and leather goods is one of the funniest drag shows ever to hit late night!"

"The naughtiest thing about Vampire Lesbians of Sodom is its title," says Heard. "It's really a classic burlesque comedy with a killer ensemble headed by two of Vegas's funniest actors, Glenn Heath and Kellie Wright. It's more bawdy than naughty and a lot of fun."

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, June 12 through 27 at 11:00 pm. Tickets are $15.00 for general admission and are available through the Onyx Box Office or on www.onyxtheatre.com. Performances of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom will be at The Onyx, located at 953 E. Sahara Ave. #16 in Commercial Center, Las Vegas, NV.
