Nevada Public Radio listeners and members have the rare chance to support public radio and experience the wonder and majesty of Disney's The Lion King for one special performance on September 25.

The Lion King is a breathtaking adventure that stretches the boundaries of Broadway, from the heart of Africa to the plains of your imagination. Marvel at the breathtaking spectacle of animals brought to life by an enormous company of international performers, whose detailed costumes, carved masks, and intricate makeup will transport you to the gorgeous vistas of the African savanna. The critically acclaimed production includes a powerful musical score with music from Tim Rice and Elton John.

The global phenomenon is the winner of more than 70 major awards worldwide, including the Tony Award® for Best Musical, and the Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album. It is hailed by Newsweek as "a landmark event in entertainment," and continues to amaze, with astounding visuals that will make this a show you'll remember forever.

A limited number of tickets for the September 25 performance at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at 8 p.m. will benefit and must be purchased through Nevada Public Radio.

Current Nevada Public Radio members and listeners may purchase multiple tickets at the special price of $75 for Tier II seating or $50 for Tier III seating. The special pricing equates to saving of $50 to $58 off regularly priced tickets. Tickets must be picked up at the will-call and may not be resold.
