Paula Nelson Band Takes the Stage at the Suncoast Showroom Tonight

The Paula Nelson Band brings soulful vocals and their signature Americana sound to the Suncoast Showroom tonight, August 15.
Surrounded by music royalty at a young age, Nelson was inspired to begin a singing career by high profile artists including Leon Russell, Kris Kristofferson, Mickey Newberry, Jesse Colter, Rita Coolidge, and her talented father, Willie Nelson. Nelson started singing and playing the piano at the age of seven.
Texas Monthly has deemed Nelson's voice "torchy" and the Los Angeles Times praised, "There's no missing the unforced power of Paula's singing." Nelson's newest album "Under the Influence," which highlights both her musical influence and pedigree, was released in late 2013.
The band, formed in 2004, includes guitar player Landis Armstrong, drummer Andrew Gerfers and bass player Matt Eskey.
