Las Vegas Philharmonic Executive Director Named Among Top 30 Professionals of the year by Musical America

Newly appointed Executive Director of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Lacey Huszcza (HOO-shuh), has been recognized in Musical America's sixth annual "Top 30 Professionals" list, which serves as a prestigious roundup of individuals who are keeping the industry fresh, dynamic and responsive to the times, championing diversity in the field and demonstrating a steadfast commitment to making the arts thrive in their respective organizations and communities.

Huszcza joined the Las Vegas Philharmonic on December 1 and brings a valuable skillset and passion for the arts to her role. She spent her last 13 years of professional life with the esteemed Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO). During her tenure at LACO, Huszcza was an integral team member and leader serving multiple departments and initiatives across fundraising, community outreach, patron engagement and strategic partnerships and programs. She also served as the organization's interim managing director for a period in 2015, utilizing her skillset and institutional knowledge of the organization's many facets.

"It was evident that Lacey was an outstanding candidate and industry leader as we conducted our executive director search and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team," shares Jeri Crawford, board president. "This acknowledgement by Musical America reinforces our confidence in and excitement for what she will contribute to the Philharmonic and the Las Vegas community."

The Las Vegas Philharmonic, led by Music Director, Donato Cabrera, established its presence in Southern Nevada in 1998. The mission of the Las Vegas Philharmonic is to inspire a lifelong appreciation of music through performances and educational experiences for our community that enhance the lives of our residents and the culture of our city.

Music education and outreach are the cornerstones of the Philharmonic's commitment to community. Our Youth Concert Series brings more than 23,000 children annually into the concert hall for a vital music education program, and our Cox Communications Young Artists' Concerto Competition recognizes and encourages emerging talent among Nevada youth in the area of music performance.

Our season of concerts showcases local talents alongside stellar nationally and internationally known guest artists on the magnificent Reynolds Hall stage. At the orchestra's core are 76 contracted professional musicians, many of whom are esteemed educators who also perform in other professional productions in Las Vegas, bringing depth and variety to the organization.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Philharmonic's community, education and artistic programs are made possible by the generous donations and support of individuals and corporations. To join us in our mission or learn more, visit lvphil.org or call 702.258.5438.
