Las Vegas Burlesque Festival Kicks Off Today

By:

For the second year, Las Vegas will get a little more naughty during the Las Vegas Burlesque Festival today, November 6 and November 7, 8 and 9 at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.

Celebrating the Las Vegas burlesque community, the Las Vegas Burlesque Festival offers four days of programs and events designed to satisfy everyone from amateur and seasoned performers to those who simply admire the art form.

"In addition to attracting and booking nationally renowned burlesque talent, it is part of our mission to feature and showcase the incredible performers that reside right here in our city," said Cory Royer, executive producer and director of the Las Vegas Burlesque Festival. "Since our festival is owned, operated and produced in Las Vegas, we'd be remiss in not making the local burlesque community a prominent feature of the weekend."

The Las Vegas Burlesque Festival will feature nightly showcases at the Gold Coast Showroom, field trips and shopping adventures, and a kick-off cocktail party followed by a Parade of Las Vegas Burlesque stars.

New this year, the Festival has added continuing education classes taught by Festival headliners and Las Vegas burlesque legends, including Tiffany Carter, Dusty Summers, Lovey Goldmine and Bic Carrol. For the burlesque beginner, a "Burlesque 101" class will be offered for those interested in learning how to shimmy, shake, tantalize and tease.

The Saturday Night Burlesque Spectacular, hosted by local burlesque entertainer Blanche DeBris, will feature The Bad Girl of Burlesque, Roxi D'Lite; Burlesque Hall of Fame 2013 King of Boylesque, Ray Gunn; Amber Ray; the Buxom Foul-Mouthed Godmother of Los Angeles Burlesque, Lili VonSchtuppl and 20 acts performed by more than 35 entertainers - locals and those who have come to Las Vegas from around the country.

The Festival concludes with mimosas and Bloody Mary's at the Sunday Burlesque Brunch-glitter filled pancakes included!

Tickets are on sale now with Three-day Festival Passes range from $105-$625 depending on seating and VIP options. Individual tickets go on sale on October 15 at various price levels starting at $28 per night. Tickets to the Sunday Burlesque Brunch are only available for individual sale and are not part of Festival Passes, with show-only tickets priced at $17 and show and brunch tickets priced at $39.
