HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH Extends at Crossroads Restaurant Inside Mandalay Bay
The sensational hit rock-musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch has extended through the end of May in the Crossroads Restaurant at The House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Casino Resort.
Featuring book by John Cameron Mitchell and music & lyrics by Stephen Trask, this groundbreaking Obie-winning Off-Broadway smash tells the story of the "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Schmidt.
Hedwig is a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation; leaving her with just "an angry inch". This outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious story is dazzlingly performed by Hedwig in the form of a rock concert/stand-up comedy routine backed by the hard-rocking band "The Angry Inch".
Opened to rave reviews, MNI Enterprises' newly conceived concept will immerse the audience into the Hedwig experience in the Crossroads Restaurant at The House of Blues. Audience members will feel as if they are at one of Hedwig's World Tour engagements!
This production stars Enoch Augustus Scott (Emcee of Zombie Burlesque) as Hedwig Schmidt. Alternating the role of Yitzak will be Anne Martinez (BAZ the Musical) and Amanda Kraft (The Set List 3.0's Queen: We Will Rock You, American Idiot, and Bye Bye Birdie). Directed by Andrew Wright (Godspell, HAIR, American Idiot, and Jesus Christ Superstar). Musical Direction by Susan Williams Easter (Music Director for House Seats Presents, Las Vegas Little Theatre, and Majestic Repertory Theatre).
MNI Enterprises would also like to announce that a portion of every ticket sale will be donated to Golden Rainbow. Golden Rainbow is a non-profit organization co-founded in 1987 by Bree Burgess and Peter Todd to provide housing and financial assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.
