Grammy Winner Natalie Cole to Perform at The Orleans Showroom, 10/26-27

By:

Natalie Cole brings her timeless classics, and new Latin flavored sound, to The Orleans Showroom, October 26 and 27, 2013.

Cole rose to stardom in 1975 after releasing her album, "Inseparable," which included her first No. 1 single, "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)." The album garnered Cole two Grammy Awards - "Best New Artist, and "Best Female R&B Vocal Performance."

She went on to release another 12 albums before her biggest hit, 1991's "Unforgettable...With Love." Best known for its duet with her late father - jazz legend Nat King Cole - the album spent five weeks at No. 1 on the pop charts, earned six Grammy Awards, including "Song of the Year" and "Album of the Year," and sold more than 14 million copies worldwide.

Cole's "Still Unforgettable," released in 2008, garnered two additional Grammy Awards, "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album" and "Best Instrumental Accompanying Vocalist." And in June of this year, Cole released her first Spanish-language album, "Natalie Cole En Español."

On the current release -- her first studio album in five years -- Cole revisits the rich repertoire of ageless Latin standards that once opened new vistas for her father. The 12 lushly orchestrated tracks, produced by Billboard's Latin Music Producer of the Decade Rudy Perez, features Cole's distinctive take on three classics from her father's catalog.

In addition to her lengthy music career, Cole has acted in various television series including "Grey's Anatomy," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Touched by an Angel."
