Comedian Sinbad Returns to The Orleans Showroom 23-4

By:

Legendary actor and comedian Sinbad will return to The Orleans Showroom on Feb. 3-4.

Sinbad has been a force on the comedy circuit for more than three decades, making numerous appearances on the stage as well as the big screen. A Michigan native, Sinbad launched his career in the 1980's after making several appearances on the variety show "Star Search."

His first television role came in 1987 when he starred in the sitcom "A Different World." By 1993, his popularity led him to star in his own series, "The Sinbad Show." Sinbad made his film debut playing Andre Krimm in "Necessary Roughness" and also had leading roles in "Jingle All the Way," "Houseguest," "First Kid" and "Good Burger." Later in his career, Sinbad made appearances on television shows like "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Celebrity Apprentice" and more.

Sinbad's quintessential comedy style is built on stories that include exchanges with family, friends and strangers, as well as the time he spent in the United States Air Force. He also takes the trials and tribulations of audience members and pokes fun, creating an interactive comedy experience.

Comedy Central named Sinbad one of its top-100 comedians and featured him in a special program in 2010. He received a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Award two years in a row for his annual HBO special, "Sinbad's '70s Soul Music Festival."

Staying true to his roots as a serviceman, Sinbad performed multiple United Service Organizations (USO) shows for troops deployed to Bagram and Kandahar Air Bases in Afghanistan in 2015.

Showtime is at 8 p.m. each night. Tickets start at $39.95 plus taxes and fees, and can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000; online at www.orleanscasino.com; or in-person at gift shops inside The Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast and Sam's Town. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show (depending upon availability) at the venue box office.
