Best-selling R&B group Boyz II Men will perform their chart-topping hits at The Orleans Showroom for two performances only, July 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. each night.
Originally formed as a quartet, Boyz II Men is now a trio of original members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman. Since bursting on to the music scene in the early 1990's, they have gone on to sell more than 60 million recordings world wide, making them the most successful R&B male vocal group of all time. In 1991, the group released their first album Cooleyhighharmony, spawning multiple hits, including "Motownphilly" and an a cappella cover of "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday." It was this album that garnered the group their first Grammy Award.Riding the success of their first album, they recorded a single for the Boomerang soundtrack, "End of the Road," which went on to become one of Boyz II Men's most recognized songs and biggest hits. They continued recording and released a Christmas album, followed by the Grammy Award winning II, which included the hits "On Bended Knee" and "I'll Make Love to You," the latter of which earned the group a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Follow up recordings include Evolution, nominated for two Grammy Awards; Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya; Full Circle; Throwback, Vol. 1; The Remedy and Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA, which garnered two Grammy Award nominations in 2009, 17 years after their first trip to the music awards ceremony.
