ARIA Resort & Casino Poker Room will commemorate the one-year anniversary of its exclusive one-table high-limit room with the 2nd Annual Ivey Invitational poker tournament Saturday, May 21. Named in honor of eight-time World Series of Poker Champion and popular professional Phil Ivey, The Ivey Room offers poker players the opportunity to play some of the world's highest-limit games at Las Vegas' hottest resort.

"We have been extremely pleased with the success of The Ivey Room since its 2010 debut," said Bill McBeath, president and chief operating officer of ARIA. "It has quickly become the foremost room for high-stakes action. We are grateful to have a long-standing relationship with Phil as he remains one of the elite players in the world of poker."

The 2nd Annual Ivey Invitational will be hosted by actress Shannon Elizabeth and is scheduled to begin at noon. Participants of the invitation-only event will compete for the $250,000 first-place prize. The overall tournament winner will play in a heads-up match against Ivey with a shot at earning an additional $250,000.

Professionals and amateur poker players have the opportunity to enjoy the comfort of The Ivey Room while playing a variety of games including, but not limited to, No Limit Hold ‘em, Seven Card Stud, Pot Limit Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw, Chinese Poker, Omaha 8-or-better and mixed games. Unique to poker rooms worldwide, The Ivey Room features direct player access to the Poker Room cashier cage where guests can utilize one of 480 safety deposit boxes. ‘The Ivey Room' provides guests 24-hour tableside dining, complimentary beverage service from the friendliest cocktail servers in the industry, an overhead state-of-the-art music system and three 42-inch television monitors for viewing sporting events or other programming.

In addition to The Ivey Room, ARIA's Poker Room is home to 24 tables which include 18 on the main floor as well as five tables in an elevated room. It has quickly become one of the world's most popular poker destinations.
