AMERICAN IDOL Winner Kris Allen to Play the Suncoast Showroom This Winter
Allen took the top spot of the eighth season of "American Idol," and launched his musical career shortly after. The Arkansas native released his self-titled studio album that featured hit singles "Live Like We're Dying" and "The Truth," both of which peaked in the Top 20 on the U.S. charts. "Live Like We're Dying" went on to earn Platinum designation and sold more than 1.7 million copies.
In 2012, Allen followed his initial success with the release of "Thank You Camellia," his second full-length studio album. The album featured the single "The Vision of Love," which reached #5 on the U.S. charts. His 2014 album "Horizons" peaked at #10 on the U.S. Billboard charts. Most recently, Allen released his fourth album - "Letting You In" - in early 2016.
