The shootings outside of two local Jewish institutions are featured tonight in a television special series HATE IN AMERICA on the Investigation Discovery channel. 14-year-old Reat Underwood and his grandfather Dr. William Corporon were shot to death by a neo-Nazi white supremacist Frazier Glenn Miller. Kansas City resident Terri LaManno was also murdered by Miller at another location.

Legendary trumpet player and former bandleader of 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson' Doc Severinsen returns for his second appearance in back-to-back seasons with the Kansas City Symphony. In celebration of his 90th birthday, he will perform with the Symphony at 7 p.m. on June 8, 2017, in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

Based on the true life story of acclaimed Mexican-American author and education advocate, Dr. Tomas Rivera, Tomas and the Library Lady is adapted by Jose Cruz Gonzalez from the book by Pat Mora.
