The MTH Theater at Crown Center Announces Casting for Musical Monday & Tuesday
The MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced casting for the October installment of its critically acclaimed Musical Monday & Tuesday series. The show is scheduled for Monday October 2 and Tuesday October 3 and will be headlined and hosted by Julie Shaw, fresh off her performance in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's world premiere musical, BETWEEN THE LINES.
Folk and country twang has long been associated with some of the best tunes in the Broadway songbook and this production will feature songs from musicals like ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE, PUMP BOYS & DINETTES, GROUNDHOG DAY, BIG RIVER and more! The production will also highlight country classics by John Denver, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and others!
Joining Shaw will be Samantha Barboza, Lexi Brie, Jessalyn Kincaid, Deanna Mazdra, Tyler Rowe, Andrew Schmidt, and Zachrey York. The 4 piece band is led by pianist and Musical Director Jeremy Watson, and features Tod Barnard on drums, Joe Levens on guitar, and Joey Panella on bass.
Now in its 9th Season, Musical Monday & Tuesday is a high-octane musical theatre flavored Cabaret, featuring some of Kansas City's finest performers and musicians. The two-night-only event almost always sells out all 244 seats of the Main Stage at The MTH Theater at Crown Center. It is traditionally an evening of music exploring the vast and dynamic catalogue of the ever-changing American Musical Songbook.
The Musical Monday & Tuesday Series is curated, produced and directed by Tim Scott.
