The Barn Players to Welcome Broadway's Nancy Opel's 'Fearless Voice 2' Class

The Barn Players are privileged to again welcome celebrated Broadway actress Nancy Opel to their new downtown home, Saturday, April 28th, for both a morning musical masterclass and evening meet and greet after their production of "Urinetown."

Nancy herself says, "Do people always tell you how "talented" you are? Come learn some bold new techniques in my "Fearless Voice 2" master class and stake your claim as a unique performer. Discover how targeted "practice" can change your life! I teach a vocal warmup that is both time-effective and amazing for improving breath, support, and intonation. Did I mention that it is simple? When you are singing you want to focus on interpretation, not hitting the notes. My "Fearless Voice 2" master class allows you that freedom!"

Nancy is a Juilliard trained, Prairie Village, KS native and has appeared in the original New York productions of "Evita" (title role), "Anything Goes," "Sunday In The Park With George," "Gypsy," "The Toxic Avenger," Memphis," "Beautiful," "Cinderella," and most recently "Curvy Widow." She was honored with a Tony nomination for her work as Penelope Pennywise in the original Broadway production of "Urinetown."

Nancy's "Fearless Voice 2" will be held Saturday, April 28th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Barn Players new home at downtown's The Arts Asylum. Participation costs $100 or $50 to audit only. Kindly note, this class is intended for older teenagers and adults. You may register for "Fearless Voice 2" master class with Nancy Opel at this link: https://barnfearless.brownpapertickets.com.

Nancy will also attend the Barn Players revival production of "Urinetown," Saturday night, April 28th at 7:30 p.m., and will be available for a meet and greet with our local cast after their final curtain that evening.

The Barn Players at The Arts Asylum are located at 1000 East 9th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106. Further Barn Players information may be found at: thebarnplayers.org, or via phone at 913.432.9100.
