The Barn Players will present the Kansas City community theater premiere of High Fidelity, March 3-19, 2017.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Nick Hornby, with a rockin' score by by Tom Kitt, memorable lyrics by Amanda Green, and an ironic book by David Lindsay-Abaire, this is a musical experience not to be missed. The Barn's production is directed by Tiffany Garrison-Schweigert, with musical direction by Delano Mendoza.

What's it about? When Brooklyn record store owner Rob finds himself unexpectedly single, his life takes a music-filled turn toward introspection: How his relationship went awry, and how to change his life in order to win back his love lost. With memorable characters, this homage to music geek culture explores the power of the perfect soundtrack: pop, blues, soft, metal, rhythm, and rock.

"It's thrilling to be directing a Kansas City musical premiere," says show runner Tiffany Garrison-Schweigert. "Fans of 80s and 90s music will LOVE this show."

Featured roles in the Barn's production are played by: Kristen Altoro, Camille Breckenridge, Larissa Briley, Natasha Gibbons, Michael Golliher, Brighton Gray, Nate Graybill, Emmy Hadley, Mark McNeal Jr., Christoph Nevins, Andy Portwood, Katie Pugh, Scott Salem, Austin Stang, Jeremy Walterman, Cori Weber, Miles Wirth, and Chris Zimmerman.

High Fidelity runs at The Barn Players, 6219 Martway, Mission, KS 66202, March 3-19, 2017. Further information may be found online at www.thebarnplayers.org, or via phone at 913.432.9100.
