Kansas City Actors Theatre will kick off Season Twelve with Herb Gardner's Tony Award winning play, I'm Not Rappaport, directed by Dennis Hennessy from The New Theatre Restaurant.

Winner of the Tony Award and one of Broadway's longest-running plays in its original run, I'm Not Rappaport is set under a bridge in Central Park, where two octogenarians regularly meet. Nat is a cantankerous Communist whose daughter is urging him into the old folk's home. Midge, an apartment superintendent, spends his days in the park hiding from his disgruntled tenants. If you loved The Gin Game last season, this will be a welcome return to that type of warm and cranky storytelling.

"Mr. Gardner, like his onstage heroes, stubbornly continues to say what he thinks." - Frank Rich, The New York Times

The cast features Kansas City Actors Theatre's Artistic Committee Member, Victor Raider-Wexler as Nat. Other members of the cast are Granvile O'neal, Cheryl Weaver, Mark Robbins, Logan Black and Amy Attaway.

Performances will take place at Union Station's H&R Block City Stage Previews start August 10th, opening night will be August 13th and performances will conclude on August 28th.

Audience talk-backs will follow performances on August 14, August 19, and August 24.
