Board the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford, America's beloved big red dog with a heart to match. "Adventures with Clifford The Big Red DogTM," inspired by Scholastic Entertainment's top-rated PBS KIDS television show, opens in the Crown Center Shops Showplace on May 29, and will be here through September 6. There is no admission fee.
Kids can visit a colossal nine-foot high Clifford with a tail to slide down, just like Emily Elizabeth does on the TV show. Children can help fill Clifford's big dog bowl with bones using a conveyor belt, and create sand art and find "bone"-ifide treasures at T-Bone's Beach. Pull up a stool at Samuel's Fish and Chips Shack, perform at Emily Elizabeth's Backyard Theatre, use watering cans and a lawn mower to spiff up Howard's backyard and much more!
In conjunction with the exhibit, children can meet the Clifford The Big Red DogTM costumed character every Saturday in June from noon to 4 p.m. A professional photographer will be on hand to take photos for a fee, or visitors may bring their own cameras.
"Adventures with Clifford The Big Red DogTM" is open during Crown Center Shops regular hours: Monday through Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Memorial Day (May 31), Independence Day (July 4) and Labor Day (September 6) hours are noon to 5 p.m.
