DESCRIPTION
Out of the Box Theatrics is seeking responsible, experienced, and highly collaborative team members for our upcoming Loft Season production.
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Front of House Manager
Box Office Associate
Both positions have the potential to extend to additional productions with Out of the Box Theatrics.
VENUE
The Loft at St. Luke's Theatre
308 W 46th St.
New York, NY 10036
DATES
Prep Week: September 21, 2026
First Preview: September 30, 2026
Opening: October 5, 2026
Scheduled Closing: November 8, 2026
Possible Extension: November 9–22, 2026
Front of House Manager
What We're Looking For:
1 Position available (estimated around 35/hrs a week)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A positive attitude
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Confidence in problem solving in the moment
Requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and walk multiple flights of stairs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Welcome patrons and direct them to the performance space.
Check in patrons for all performances.
Manage and schedule ushers.
Submit usher payroll.
Maintain and receive program inventory.
Collaborate with the Box Office, Stage Management, Producers, and venue staff on procedures and protocols.
Send daily Front of House reports to producers and management.
Execute all closing procedures.
Reports To: General Manager
Compensation: $25/hour
Box Office Associate
What We're Looking For:
2 Part-Time Positions Available
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A positive attitude.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Confidence in problem-solving in the moment.
Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and walk multiple flights of stairs.
Familiar with box office and ticketing platforms.
Experience with Ludus, is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sell, exchange, and process ticket sales through OOTB's ticketing platform.
Provide excellent customer service to patrons in person, over the phone, and via email.
Assist patrons with ticket purchases, exchanges, and general ticketing questions.
Troubleshoot ticketing issues and escalate concerns to the Box Office Manager when necessary.
Accurately process payments and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.
Assist with distributing will call, complimentary, and house seats.
Support the Box Office Manager with daily box office operations and administrative tasks.
Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient box office environment.
Enforce ticketing policies and procedures.
Reports To: Box Office Manager
Compensation: $22/hour (based on experience)
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
7 performances per week
Monday and Wednesday–Sunday
Tuesday: Dark
Primarily in-person for performances, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
