He is the Artistic Director of Nuance Theatre Co., an Acting Coach and the Founder and Master Teacher of the Meisner acting technique at his private training school in New York City. John DeSotelle Studio is one of New York City’s leading independent professional acting studios, offering rigorous, in-depth training centered around the Meisner Technique. From beginning through advanced study, actors train for stage and screen in small, focused classes with individual attention, more time to work and rehearse, and a deeper exploration of the craft. Beyond the classroom, mentorships, supplemental training, Studio events, and opportunities to create and perform provide actors with something more than classes—a supportive artistic community where they can train, practice, grow, and perform.
