Wardrobe/Dresser

Retro Productions is seeking a WARDROBE MASTER/DRESSER for their upcoming AEA Showcase Code (approval pending) of ON THE VERGE by Eric Overmyer directed by Sara Thigpen. THIS IS A STIPEND ONLY SHOWCASE PRODUCTION. The one time only stipend for this role is $150. The production goes into rehearsal August 7th (evenings and weekends) for a September 9th opening. The WARDROBE MASTER/DRESSER is not needed in rehearsal until September 3rd. Additional relevant dates include Load In September 5th (please note: this is Labor Day), Tech Week September 5-8, Opening September 9th running through closing September 24th (12 performances total), and Load Out September 25th. This production rehearses and performs in Manhattan. Seeking a highly motivated individual with a lot of energy to work backstage directly with the actors at all performances. Duties consist of: assisting the costume designer with load in, load out, and layout of dressing rooms; assisting actors with dressing, wigs (if applicable), and quick changes; and laundry twice during the run on dark nights. Light sewing may be required (mending, etc.). FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION IS REQUIRED. Particularly interested in meeting new BIPOC theater folx!
