Retail Supervisor

VAN GOGH: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE Retail Supervisor A full-time role at Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience located at 300 Vesey Street, New York, NY reporting to the General Manager and Assistant Managers. This full-time role is being offered on a temporary basis for an estimated 7 months. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing a first-class experience for our visitors with exceptional customer service in the Shop area, stock management and control, and maintaining a clean and comfortable selling environment. Includes weekend and evening shifts.

WAGE

$45,000 plus benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Shop management

• Merchandise stock control, including weekly stock takes

• Regular reporting to the company’s Merchandising Manager

• Shift Supervisor duties

• Staff supervision in the shop area

• Cash handling with accuracy and consistency

• To follow all procedures for promotional activities

• Answering visitor queries and/or complaints

• Adhering to, and monitoring staff and visitors’ adherence to, all Covid safety procedures, including cleanliness at the till point

• Any other duties which enhance the visitor’s experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be at least 18 years of age

• The ability to read, speak and effectively understand the English language

• Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends

• Must possess above average communication skills

• Safety conscious

• Outgoing and friendly

• Willing to actively engage guests

• Ability to learn and understand Van Gogh’s works and his history in order to be able to answer general customer queries

• Commitment to providing the best in customer service

THE PERSON:

• Venue, leisure, or retail experience in a role of responsibility

• Stock management experience

• Cash handling experience

• A general knowledge and/or enthusiasm for the arts
