We're looking for a Parking Attendant to join the Facilities Department to provide courteous, reliable, and efficient customer service while monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the parking area.
STATUS: Hourly Seasonal, part-time from mid-June to August 28th, 2023 REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities DEPARTMENT: Facilities WORKS WITH: Facilities, festival staff, visiting company members, faculty, students, volunteers, and patrons COMPENSATION: $15.00/hour RESPONSIBILITIES Direct motorists to parking areas, parking spaces, and exits, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary. Greet patrons upon arrival and provide directions to program locations and facilities. Assist patrons with locating vehicles and assist staff who are transporting patrons. Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized. Perform related additional duties and tasks as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Possess excellent customer service skills. Possess an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. Demonstrates exceptional oral communication skills by conveying information effectively. Ability to stand and walk at least 7 hours a day. Must be able to work flexible shift hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
SKILLS & QUALITIES Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable being outdoors, in all weather. Comfortable standing for long periods of time. Comfort using technology. Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment.
WORK HOURS Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday: 4:45 PM to 10:00 PM EDT; Friday: 12 PM to 6:00 PM. Sunday: 10 AM to 5:00 PM; select Saturdays and Sundays will have an earlier start time, varying based on schedule. Weekend work will be required; lunch and dinner provided.
