Musical Theater Performance Course Instructor - Artisan Center Theater

Musical Theater Courses are Wednesdays at 5:30-6:25 and 6:30-7:25 weekly, beginning August 23rd and ending December 20th. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Education Director, the Instructor for the Artisan Academy is responsible for instructing, setting up, and preparing for the assigned classes and providing quality educational opportunities to every student enrolled. INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: -Create lesson plans/daily schedule and submit them to the Education Director for approval two weeks in advance of the class. -Instructors must arrive 15 minutes before class begins and stay until each child is picked up. It is the responsibility of the instructor to arrive early and set up your class space. -Make sure each student is signed in and out daily by someone 16 and up that is approved to pick up on enrollment forms. -Students may not be left unattended at any time and must have someone accompany them to the restroom. -Keep a copy of the Emergency Medical Forms for all students at all times. -A family-friendly environment must be adhered to at all times. Modest attire is required. -Instructors are responsible for making sure the space is tidy and picked up prior to leaving each day. INSTRUCTOR EXPECTATIONS -A positive family-friendly environment is required at all times. Instructor behavior, scripts, music and choreography choices must reflect Artisan values. -Violence, insults, sexual harassment, threats, racism, intimidation and inappropriate language as defined in Artisan’s Zero Tolerance Policy will not be tolerated. Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited. -Instructors should support the Artisan Center Theater mission and vision statements.
