Ghost of Christmas Present - Raue Center For The Arts

Sage Studio, the resident theatre education program at Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, IL, seeks one actor for the role of Ghost of Christmas Present/Dilber/Charity 1/etc. in their upcoming production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL: A HOLIDAY PANTOMIME. A Christmas Carol is a production of Raue Center for the Arts’ educational SAGE on STAGE program and will run December 4th through December 12th, 2021 at Raue Center for the Arts in downtown Crystal Lake, IL. Adult actors are considered Sage Studio teaching artists. Housing and transportation will not be provided. Local area candidates preferred. Character Description Ghost of Christmas Present/Dilber/Charity 1/etc. (she/her): This character track requires a versatile performer who can project genuine warmth and contagious joy in one moment and darkly comical greed in another. We are seeking a performer with improvisation skills, dance experience, and strong vocal capability. Leadership experience and a background in working with children are vital for this role. Educational Needs - Every adult cast in this show is asked to lead a game or activity during the rehearsal process. The topic for these will be given by the director. The director can provide a lesson plan for this or the adult actor can develop something on their own that fits within the topic. - There will be approximately 50 children ages 7-18 in this production. Because of this, all adult actors will need to be comfortable working with and being around children.
