CASTING DORIAN GRAY

Dorian Gray: A Salon Reading is a staged, immersive reading of Maeve Aurora Chapman’s adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s infamous novel. This adaptation utilizes text from Wilde’s letters, poems, and interviews to highlight the parallels between the tragic plot of the novel and Wilde’s own life. This play explores themes of masculinity and its repercussions for femininity in a gendered society. This play will be a four person cast with only Dorian (she/her), Basil (they/them), Lord Henry (she/her), and Sibyl (he/him). We will have 15 hours of rehearsal time with an additional primary table read sometime in January, based on everyone’s availability. The show is a one night only event at The Tank NYC on March 22nd at 7pm. Please note that while Playbill lists the start date as January 1st, it will not be New Year's day. We will have one table read either in December or late January and then reheasals will begin late January or February. ACTOR MUST BE AVAILABLE MARCH 22ND 2024. ALL DAY.
