Audio Technician – Albany, NY - Tinc Productions

Tinc Productions, an event and theatrical production management company based in New York City, is seeking AUDIO TECHNICIANS to be added to our work roster in Albany, New York.

Below you will find a description of the Scope of Work for Audio Technician. The goal is to set up some basic understanding about your work with Tinc as well as your duties in this role.



Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Support the installation and maintenance of all audio video components on Tinc jobsites. Responsible for routine maintenance, cleanliness and repair of A/V equipment. Where possible, effect immediate repairs, and assess the need for changes in design or materials

• Test system(s) to ensure proper function

• Adjust volume and controls interfaces to suit the size of location and level of other sound sources

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment as necessary

• Operate, monitor, and adjust audio and video equipment to regulate volume and ensure quality in radio, television, and live broadcast, concerts and other performances

• Record speech, music, and other sounds on recording equipment

• Synchronize sounds and dialogue with action taking place is assigned venue

• Install temporary, permanant, or semi permanant audio equipment as directed

• Operate digital, analog, or virtual consoles and audio desks

• Other duties as assigned





General Duties:

• Ensure that safety procedures are being upheld across all departments and that our employees and non-employee staff maintain a positive and healthy working environment

• Keep all work environments organized and tidy.

• Represent Tinc’s Culture in all interactions.

• Take into account the long-term health of Tinc and our clients in all decision-making.

• Provide support and feedback to other staff as needed.

• Contribute to the growth and development of Tinc Productions procedures, processes and systems.

• Ask questions when you are unsure.



Wages and Benefits



This is a part time, non-exempt position with specific work rules. Hours are scheduled on an as needed basis with no set schedule or guarantees.



W2 Employees, all appropriate taxes withheld. Paid weekly on Fridays. Direct Deposit available.



Pay rate for Audio Technicians is $37.00 per hour
