Thats a fun fact to know as you listen to this concert featuring the music of Dave Brubeck, considered one of Americas foremost musicians. Innovative with odd time signatures, improvised counterpoint, polyrhythm and polytonality, he wrote and performed music that is as vibrant today as it was when he wrote it in the last century. He was named a Jazz Master by the Library of Congress and, because he also composed classical music integrated with jazz elements, he was inducted into the Classical Music Hall of Fame.Performing Brubecks music will be The Sam Bruton Quartet: Sam Bruton, piano Larry Panella, saxophone David Pellow, bass Pete Wehner, percussion.
