'Olio' by Marco Calvani will play the Teatro India in Rome from April 23rd - 29th 2010.

With Monica Scattini, Mauro Marino, Michael Schermi

Production Mixò
in collaboration with Associazione Teatrale Pistoiese

Olio tells three stories in the form of monologue. That of Leo, an ambitious theatre actor who, by signing a contract with a reality show, begins his climb to success but also a true descent to hell; of his friend

Miky, a brilliant lawyer obsessed with the idea of re-establishing world order; and of Giò, an ambitious show agent, a workaholic and money-making machine, and a victim of her own ruthlessness and loneliness.

The three monologues are developed in a fast and whirling succession of scenes in which the single characters interact and yet, remain separate from each other, without ever touching or looking at one another, isolated in their universe as it is in their destiny.
A twisted and ironic tale on the eternal conflict between reason and passion, and on the fragility of an identity in the presence of authority. A dark comedy on the fear of the end and of death, and on the human tendency to blindly pursue possessions and success.
