Psycho-Log is a new play, written and directed by Ofek Levy, due to premiere this September in Tel Aviv.

Psycho-Log tells the story of 25 years old Roy who suffers from a psychiatric disorder called Depersonalization. Roy arrives at his psychologist, Udi, for his weekly session. During this session Udi notices deterioration in Roy's mental condition and realizes he will have to confront Roy with the incidents that caused that mental disease. He decides to put Roy in a state of a deep trance, a condition that enables Roy to go back to those meaningful incidents in his past that inflicted his disorder while he's trying to rearrange them in his mind.

Throughout the play the audience gets to be exposed to his secrets, thoughts and feelings as well as to the magnitude of the harm, the depth of the pain and the long term consequences.

Ofek Levy, the playwright and director of Psycho-Log, is a high school student at Thelma Yellin School of the Arts. Despite his young age of 16 he already managed to bring to the stage two of his other plays: "Who Are You Calling Mad?" which was produced after raising 6,000 NIS through a crowdfunding project, and "Ellipsis" that was funded by the Rishon-Lezion Municipality and Mifal HaPayis.

"As an artist I'm very interested in the element of insanity, the feeling of going crazy and how it can be implemented on stage", says Ofek. "I see myself as a bit of a provocative artist and I want to give the audience the best Metarealistic experience I can. In order to do so I use different kinds of art in this show such as dance, video art and visual elements that will give the audience a holistic and unique experience. I see theatre as a boxing ring that I use to tell the audience: 'You've been bad!'".

Ofek's new production has just finished its casting process and the leading role of Roy will be played by Rami Kashy ("Shnot Hashmonim", Ensemble Can). The rehearsals period recently began and more details about the venue and show dates will soon be released.

In order to bring this play to life on a theatre stage a crowdfunding project was created on "Headstart" and it's now on its final days. Any support from the public has a significant effect on this production that has no other financial sources.
