After 9 months of playing the role of Billy Elliot in 38 performances, Shon Granot Zilbershtein has announced his departure from the show due to an injury.

Shon made this announcement yesterday on his Facebook profile in a post saying that he will have to depart this production for a resting period he must take due to a back injury.

He added that he will remember this experience for the rest of his life and is sure that he will come back. He also gave personal thanks to all the people who helped him and surrounded him during this period of time. He added that he hopes the audience has enjoyed his performance as much as he enjoyed performing for them.

This announcement comes only a week after Sahar Lev-Shomer departed this production in which he played the role of Michael.
The role of Billy Elliot will now be played exclusively by Arnon Herring while Amit Brenner and Timoti Sannikov will share the role of Michael.

A few months ago Shon was voted as "Best Younger Actor" in the 2016 BroadwayWorld Israel Awards.

Good luck Shon!
