Wexford Opera House Hosts AN EVENING WITH JULIAN LLOYD WEBBER 2/24

Cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, one of the world's most renowned musicians, brings his show "Travels With My Cello: An Evening with Julian Lloyd Webber" to Wexford Opera House on Thursday, February 24th, as part of his 60th Birthday celebrations this year. Julian, part of the Lloyd-Webber music dynasty will perform favourite classics by Bach, Faure, Saint Saens and Debussy, as well as pieces from his from his talented family - father William and brother Andrew.

What makes this concert so unique is that it is not only a feast for the ears, but will include conversations with Julian, accompanied by pianist Pam Chowhan, who gives a visual reminiscence on his many collaborations with musicians as diverse as Yehudi Menuhin, Joaquin Rodrigo, jazz greats Cleo Laine and Stephane Grappelli, as well as Elton John and, of course, his brother Andrew. The second half of the evening feature a Q&A session with the audience, where Julian will take questions and also read a few short extracts from his book, "Travels with my Cello." This is a fantastic opportunity to pick the brain of one of the world's best musicians.

Julian Lloyd Webber's birthday celebrations culminate in a Gala Celebration concert in London hosted by Melvyn Bragg of the South Bank Show, whose theme tune Julian famously performed. The piece, from his brother Andrew's 'Variations' is based on the theme from Paganini's '24th Caprice' is amongst the most recognised TV theme tunes.
