Based on his well received RTE radio play, John McDwyer's new play, United, charts the lives of a rural Irish family over fifty years from the Munich air disaster in 1958. United will be performed in Roscommon Arts Centre on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th November at 8pm. When the matriarch passes away, her remaining children congregate for her funeral and over the funeral days dark secrets are revealed which lead to conflict until eventual reconciliation is reached and the family is, once more, United.

Featuring well known Rosconmmon actress, Noreen Hawkins United is a moving and life enhancing play from the author of Lovely Leitrim, Callaghan's Place and Unforgiven and given the usual Beezneez production values, a richly rewarding evening of theatre is guaranteed. Tickets for this production are priced at €17 / €15 and are available at Roscommon Arts Centre's box office 090 6625824.

Talented musician and tutor John Wynne specialises in the North Connaught flute style and has won All-Ireland titles at various grades on both flute and tin whistle. He is a regular tutor of groups and individuals of all ages and he teaches at workshops, music schools and festivals home and abroad. John's children's trad classes at the arts centre for ages 7+, which have proven very popular since beginning a few years ago, are specifically designed to be small enough to ensure that each individual gets individual attention. All newcomers in both tin whistle and flute will be catered for. Classes start at the arts centre from Tuesday 8th November and term continues until 13th December. A term of classes costs €90 and both beginners and advanced students are catered for. Call Roscommon Arts Centre on 090 6625824 to reserve your place or for more information.
